Healthcare professionals can refer their patients to Society for the Blind’s Low Vision Clinic knowing we provide the best care. Our doctors provide guidance for the patient, family and other care providers, direct further treatment by other vision rehabilitation professionals and make appropriate referrals for medical and surgical intervention. Our five optometrists, graduates of the School of Optometry, UC Berkeley, have extensive training and experience to qualify as Low Vision Specialists.
As a full service, blindness rehabilitation center we provide a continuum of care that treats the whole patient. In addition to the Low Vision Clinic, we offer programs to seniors, adults and youth we offer programs and services to manage their blindness or low vision. Our Director of Client Services meets with each patient to discuss their needs and services available.
