A Feel for Art Tour: Experience artistic culture through your tactile senses
Join Society for the Blind students and staff as we experience the Seeing Sound 2 exhibit through touch and sound at the Pence Gallery in downtown Davis. Director Natalie Nelson of the Seeing Sound 2 exhibit will be hosting a private hands-on and up-close tour for Society students and staff. This 90-minute showcase will feature installations, stunning sculptures, and video work by regional artists on the theme of sound art.
Experience a one-of-a-kind tour that will touch the senses and expose participants to art and culture in an intimate setting.
Important info: for those joining us in Davis, please arrive to the Pence Gallery by 10:45 AM. For those traveling with us from Society for the Blind in Sacramento, please arrive at Society by 8:45 AM and be ready to walk to the bus stop by 9:00 AM. After our gallery visit, we will head to lunch in downtown Davis, followed by a bus ride back to Sacramento. Those returning to Sacramento can expect to be back to Society for the Blind by 3:00 PM.
