Are you ready to roll up your sleeves, roll the dough and decorate gingerbread houses!? Join CareersPLUS as we put our skills to work in the kitchen learning safe baking techniques while sharpening our tactile skills. Under the supervision of Chef Joni, a long-time blind kitchen connoisseur, participants will gain a firsthand appreciation of baking etiquette while safely navigating around the kitchen. But that is not all. We will also learn crafty blindness techniques in gift wrapping and helping out at home to make your season festive and accessible.

Feel free to bring a gift to wrap for a family or friend. There will also be an optional white elephant gift exchange. Unwrap the endless possibilities with us on December 7.

Due to the nature of this popular activity, please register early. There are 15 spaces available and we anticipate a wait list.

Please RSVP with Isabel Arreola, Programs Assistant at 916.889.7532 or by email at: [email protected]. There is no cost to participate in this activity.

All events, unless otherwise cited, will meet at: Society for the Blind located at 1238 S Street, Sacramento, CA 95811.
