Join CareersPLUS as we immerse ourselves into community resources and together learn about safe networking in everyday situations. From establishing friendships, seeking customer service when shopping, exploring career choices and seeking out information, we have expert tips and tricks for every life adventure.

This workshop is geared for teens and young adults. We will begin with a group discussion and lively ice breakers. In the afternoon we will head out into the neighborhood, enjoy lunch and attend a community event to practice our networking skills in real time. We will return to Society for the Blind by 3:30 PM.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a white cane and/or any other low vision aides to comfortably and confidently navigate indoors and outdoors. Participants are requested to bring $10 to $15 for lunch that we will have while out in the community.
