CareersPLUS presents: Virtual Parent Meet Up
Date/Time
Date(s) - August 19, 2020
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Welcoming August, CareersPLUS offers up new opportunities for our teens to learn and network on ZOOM and socialize together. ZOOM is a free app that you can download on your phone, tablet, and or dial in through your home phone. ZOOM allows you to video chat with us and others invited to our seminar to call in.
Using this platform, we will socialize and have conversations on various aspects of life. During The first call of Each month, we catch up and talk about how we are conquering personal, school and career goals while safely sharing out with peers and facilitators goals, aspirations, challenges and life successes.
Thriving through summer and soon autumn with school on the horizon, gather with us for an informal fun and interesting session to kick off August.
CareersPLUS is designed for youth with vision loss to prepare for and succeed in middle school, high school, college and their career of choice. CareersPLUS youth programming offers interactive instruction tailored for individual and group learning. The program offers a dynamic learning experience that reflects the nationally recognized Pre-Employment Transition Services (PETS) curriculum. The ultimate goal of CareersPLUS is to foster a sense of confidence in youth to pursue college and career goals.
There is no cost to attend. Please email Program Coordinator, Richard Rueda at [email protected] for additional information.
