Meet at SFB at 9:30 am and ride over to the Sacramento Amtrak Station in the vans. Vans will bring you back to SFB for your transportation before 3:00 pm.
We will enjoy lunch together at Sourdough Company located in the Amtrak Station. As a learning opportunity, lunch will be provided for clients.
Do you have the knack to travel by train? Come explore and learn orientation and mobility techniques around the Sacramento Amtrak Station. Discover landmarks in this historical building, challenge yourself to learn how to ask questions, use cardinal directions, get lost but also find your way together in a supportive group lesson. Come and learn useful techniques such as: navigating in a line, locating the cash register, learn how to access the menu by using a reader assistant or your adaptive technology, and practice navigating around a restaurant setting. Please bring your long white cane.
Limited to 8 participants.
