Society and ACC Senior Services have teamed up for an opportunity to take a walk in the park, while having fun together. Meet at Society for a group overview of cane travel skills, then take a stroll through Southside Park. Guide dogs are welcome! ACC will provide escorts to support independent movement while offering companionship and safety as well. Following the walk, we will head back to SFB for an indoor picnic and ACC volunteers will be hosting fun picnic games. BRING YOUR OWN BAG LUNCH. SIP will be providing water and light snacks to enjoy. This is an orientation and mobility activity, please bring your long white straight cane if you are a cane user. Limited to 15 participants. All levels welcome.
