A Word of Gratitude

This is one of my favorite pieces to write. I get to reflect on the past year and savor the many moments of joy, inspiration and collaboration at Society for the Blind.

Hundreds of new clients walked through our doors and rediscovered hope this year. They took a leap of faith and began the journey to learn how to do everyday things without relying on their vision. To our clients, I say thank you for your trust – it is our foundation.

We are now a staff of 40 incredibly talented and compassionate people. Each of you brings unique value and skills. Thank you for providing meaningful impact for the people we serve.

Alongside our staff are our volunteers. Thank you for so generously sharing your time and talents. You make it possible for us to do so much more.

I am deeply grateful to our board of directors, each of whom brings unique value, perspectives and contributions that ensure we can achieve our mission.

And to our devoted donors and friends, you are the reason Society for the Blind continues to thrive. Your steadfast support ensures that everyone who comes to Society has the opportunity to discover, develop and achieve their full potential.
