Bridge the Gap for People with Vision Loss

Hundreds of people with vision loss come through our Low Vision Clinic each year and discover new skills and devices in a caring community that helps them use their remaining vision safely and effectively.

Our Low Vision Clinic serves patients throughout Northern California. Nearly 85% of the people we serve in our clinic have limited income due to their vision loss, and many have limited or no health insurance. Thanks to your past generous support, we have not had to turn anyone away.

But the number of people experiencing vision loss is increasing year over year, especially among our older patients. Magnification devices and other assistive technologies are not covered by insurance, and patients simply do not have the resources to pay for them. For those with limited or no insurance, low vision exams and occupational therapy are out of reach.

Help us reach our $30,000 goal to bridge the gap so the rising number of people with vision loss can access our Low Vision Clinic.

Your gift will ensure everyone who comes through our Low Vision Clinic receives:

  • Comprehensive low vision exam
  • Visual aids such as magnifiers and other devices
  • Occupational therapy sessions and training on assistive devices
  • Referrals to our wide range of programs
