National Fitness Challenge Ramps Up in September

The pandemic and fires have given new meaning to the word “challenge” in the Anthem USABA National Fitness Challenge this year, but our participants are stepping up to the plate!

    • On Sept. 12, our National Fitness Challenge participants will compete in our 5/10K walk/run from home. Participants will be issued running bibs and other items for the virtual race.
    • On Sept. 19, Samantha Adams and our yoga volunteers will host a yoga workshop demonstrating various poses and highlighting key components of this physical, mental and spiritual discipline.
    • Several National Fitness Challenge participants joined a virtual nutrition talk earlier this month and will participate again on Sept. 23.
    • Participants will engage in daily and weeklong step challenges throughout September, ranging from 5,000 to 15,000 steps. Those who achieve the assigned goal for that day will be entered into a drawing to win a prize.

September will be our champion month to hit our goals before the National Fitness Challenge ends later this year. We can’t wait to see what our participants will accomplish in these last few months of the challenge!
